Clarification on Digital Products
By purchasing a WordPress theme from our store, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital product. Due to the nature of digital goods — with immediate access and the ability to download — traditional monetary refunds do not apply as they would for physical products. However, to ensure your confidence, we offer a refund system through store credits, subject to the conditions outlined below.
Refund Request
You may request a refund within five (5) days from the date of purchase.
To initiate a request, please email refunds@effethemes.com with:
- A detailed description of the issue you are experiencing.
- A formal request for a refund.
Review Process
All refund requests are subject to an internal review. Approval of the store credit will depend on the verification that:
- The product has been deactivated and completely removed from your site.
- There has been no violation of our terms of use.
Store credits will only be issued after the successful completion of this review.
Form of Refund
Refunds are issued exclusively in the form of store credits equal to the full purchase amount.
Store credits can be used towards any product available on our website and are valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
Important
If the theme remains installed, active, or in use, the refund request may be denied.
Fraud and Misuse
We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases where there are signs of:
- Copying, modifying, or redistributing the theme.
- Misuse or violation of copyright.
- Attempting to request a refund while still using the product.
Fraudulent actions may result in account suspension and potential legal action.
Cases Where Refunds Will Not Be Granted
- Change of mind after the purchase.
- Incompatibility with third-party plugins, systems, or hosting providers.
- Technical issues resulting from customer installation or configuration errors.
- Lack of technical knowledge to properly use the theme.
- Requests made after the five (5) day refund period.
Final Note:
In order for your refund request to be considered, it is mandatory to deactivate and completely remove the theme from your website.
